MICROBLADING

​

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a Semi Permanent makeup procedure to enhance, reshape or create a natural hair- like appearance on the eyebrows. The effect of Microblading can correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrows and is an excellent treatment for those who have less brow hair, thinning brows, or people who just want to enhance the natural shape of their brows.

HOW LONG IS THE PROCEDURE?

The initial Microblading session can take about 2.5- 3 hours. The session begins with a thorough consultation and evaluation of your brows. Your Brow Specialist will then shape your brows as needed, mark up the design and choose the appropriate color. Most importantly, the procedure will begin once you are completely satisfied with the shape.

IS IT PAINFUL?

We use Topical Anesthetic throughout the procedure to make it as comfortable as possible for our clients. Most people do not feel discomfort but since tolerance levels vary, you may feel a light scratch feeling (similar to threading/ tweezing) but normally it is slim to none.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type. Since Microblading pigments are not inserted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade over time. Color retention will vary between each individual. At some point the strokes may blur and will need to be refreshed. Please note, While the Microbladed area softens with time, a slight shadow of the pigment may remain.

WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS?

The brows will appear much darker for the first week since the color is fresh. However, the color softens up to 30% as it heals. You will notice light scabbing after a few days. Keep in mind that this is part of the healing process and you should avoid picking the scabs as this could damage the results of the Microbladed area. For the first week following the treatment, it is very important that you follow the after care instructions given after the procedure to ensure the best results.

IS THE TOUCH UP NECESSARY?

Yes. It is important to return for a touch up session between 4-8 weeks following the initial procedure. Your touch up session is when the Brow Specialist can refine the brows, address any areas, and help to maintain the perfect color. Touch ups need to be done no sooner than 4 weeks after the Initial Microblading session, to ensure that pigment color has fully settled into the skin. Most importantly, this is to prevent scar damage as the tissue requires that time to completely heal.

WHAT IF I HAVE A PREVIOUS TATTOO, CAN I STILL DO THE TREATMENT?

We determine this case by case as it really depends on the condition of your skin. We encourage you to book a consultation so that the Brow Specialist can examine your skin close up and decide if they are able to do Microblading over your previous work.

OMBRE BROWS

​

WHAT ARE OMBRE BROWS?

Ombre or "Powder" Brows, is another Semi Permanent Makeup procedure that helps our clients achieve a soft “Powdery” or “Ombre” look on their eyebrows. This shading technique is done by using a small machine which disperses fine dots of pigment evenly onto the skin. This is an excellent treatment for people who want a natural look or who want to achieve an every day make up look.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MICROBLADING & OMBRE BROWS?

While they are both forms of Permanent Makeup, the techniques give different results. Microblading gives individual hair strokes that resemble eyebrow hairs, while powder brows result in a soft and powdery makeup look.

HOW LONG IS THE OMBRE BROW PROCEDURE?

The entire process can take anywhere from 3-4 hours, which includes a thorough consultation and professional outline. Keep in mind that we do not start the procedure until you are satisfied with the shape.

HOW LONG DO OMBRE BROWS LAST?

Ombre Brows typically last 1-3 years depending on skin type. For optimal results, it is important to return for a touch up session 1-2 months after the initial procedure. *For answers to pain level & healing please refer to Microblading answers(above).

LIP BLUSH

WHAT IS LIP BLUSH?

Lip blush or lip contouring is a permanent makeup procedure. Lip contour is a type of cosmetic tattoo that semi-permanently enhances lip color and shape by depositing colored ink into the lips with a mechanical needle.

WHO CAN GET IT?

Anyone over the age of 18 can receive this treatment, Whether you reshape the lines of your lips or just want to improve the definition, lip contour is the way to go. Lip blush can also help in the restoration of your natural lip color, repair of any uneven parts, defined cupids bow, and a 24/7 pout without fillers. Like other features of your face, your lips are so important. Our technicians will work hand in hand with you to create the perfect shape and customized color that suites you and your lifestyle!

WHAT IS THE PROCESS LIKE?

A full consultation is always carried out before we start the actual tattoo. A consultation is essential to help you figure out what you want and to help us get you there. During that consultation we will discuss exactly what you want to achieve including shape and color, taking into account your natural coloring. We'll do our best to provide expert advice regarding what suits you best. After, we will pre-draw the agreed upon look and make sure the you like what you see! We don’t begin the tattooing until you are totally happy with the pre-drawing.

 

The end result will be a shade or two lighter than the day you got the procedure done. In most cases, a touch-up is needed no sooner than 8 weeks later.

​

Ultimately, this procedure will last anywhere from 1-3 years! After that, it'll fade naturally. We highly recommend a color boost if you want it to last longer.

LASH EXTENSIONS

​

HOW ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS APPLIED?

The lash extensions are adhered individually to your own lashes using a special adhesive about 1 mm away from the skin.

​

​

DO EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

Properly adhered extensions will not damage your lashes. Do not be surprised if some of the extensions fall out with your natural lashes, as your lashes have a growth cycle like the rest of the hair on your body.

​

​

HOW LONG WILL THE EXTENSIONS LAST?

Extensions can last from 3 to 4 weeks with proper aftercare. Since natural lashes fall out daily, it is recommended to come every two weeks for refill appointments.

​

​

WHAT IS A REFILL APPOINTMENT?

During a refill appointment the technician will remove any faulty lashes and replace the lashes that have already fallen out to ensure you have a beautiful full set of lashes again.

​

MY LASHES ARE SHEDDING FASTER THAN USUAL, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

We offer a fix appointment if you are experiencing premature shedding within the first 3 days of your appointment. In this case, please email us  with photos of your extensions and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.

HOW ARE EXTENSIONS REMOVED?

If you would like your extensions removed please make an appointment. One of our technicians will use a professional remover to dissolve the adhesive. Do not pick at the lashes as they will fall off with your natural lashes.

​

​

CAN I USE AN EYELASH CURLER OR MASCARA WITH EYELASH EXTENSIONS?​

It is not recommended to use a curler or mascara as this will damage your natural lashes along with the extensions. If you feel that the extensions are not full enough, long enough, or curly enough please consult with your technician as these things can be adjusted.

LASHT LIFTS

IS A LASH LIFT THE SAME PROCEDURE AS LASH PERM?

No, the Lash lift is a new, upgraded procedure. While the chemical procedure is nearly identical to a perm, the difference is in the results and the aftercare. By getting rid of old fashioned perm rollers which over curled the lashes to an extent, the silicone pads used for this procedure lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright eyed enhanced look.

DOES THE LASH LIFT PROCEDURE HURT?

No the procedure is totally painless.  You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes during this time, it gives you a chance to relax during the treatment.

​

WILL THE LASH LIFT DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

No. Our technician is a carefully trained and skilled professional and will ensure proper Lash Lift procedures are followed.

​

​

HOW LONG DOES A LASH LIFT TAKE?​

A lash lift can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour from beginning to end. Maybe a little longer if you decide to have your eyelashes tinted which will enhance the effect of your lash lift.

​

​

HOW LONG WILL A LASH LIFT LAST?​

A Lash Lift can last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person.  There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use of harsh products or heat.  If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.

WILL I HAVE A REACTION TO THE LOTION?​

Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test 24 hours beforehand.  A patch test is quick and simple.  It consists of us placing 2 drops of lotions behind the ear for 15 minutes. Wiping it off and waiting to see if any subsequent irritation occurs over the next 24 hours such as redness, itching or inflammation for example.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER MY LASH LIFT?​

Yes, but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY EYES?​

Gently, using mild products. Always wait 24 hours to do this, do not do it straight after the procedure. 

​

HOW OFTEN CAN I HAVE A LASH LIFT?​

A lash lift will begin to naturally drop after about 2 months and your lashes will be back to their natural look. The lashes should drop evenly and will not look out of place. You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of one month if you feel you need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state.

As mentioned above, clients do see results after one session however for optimum results multiple sessions is recommended. Your technician will recommended the appropriate package to help you attain your goal.

Depending on your area of concern and which methods used, sessions can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

We do recommend maintenance sessions along with proper diet and exercise to maintain results.
